Fox Wine Bistro is the only Korean wine bistro to be included in the 2013 Miele Guide’s list of Top 500 restaurants in Asia. We’ve featured in the New York Times as “The Vine Shrine” for Seoul, the Wall Street Journal, Women magazine, Traveler, The Korea Times, Yonhap News, Coparfum and Sure Magazine.

Sommelier and owner Lee Su Yeon originally trained as a journalist and worked in Public Relations and communications for ten years. While studying public relations in Toronto she fell in love with the city’s restaurants and wine culture.

In 2006 Su Yeon studied to be a sommelier at JC Wine School in Seoul. She then worked at WineNara, a wine retailer and distributor, from 2007-2008 as the national marketing manager. Wanting to share her passion for wine she wrote Wine Actually: An introduction to wine in 2008 and opened Fox Wine Bistro, a relaxed space for lovers of fine wine at reasonable prices.

In 2011 after a trip to Italy she opened her kitchen serving bistro cuisine and authentic Italian pasta paired with quality wines from around the world. There are over 400 wines on the list with new wines about 30 wines added every quarter.
